RUSSIAN NEW YEAR
The project went viral in 2019 and continues to circulate online during the New Year season.
This project was created in collaboration with makeup artist Glasha Guryanova. We imagined traditional Russian New Year dishes as beauty treatments and transformed them into unusual face masks and makeup looks.
Ingredients from classic holiday dishes such as Olivier salad, Herring under a Fur Coat, khоlodets, mandarins, and butter with caviar were used directly on the model’s face, blurring the line between festive food traditions and beauty rituals.
The series humorously reflects the morning of January 1st, when celebration, excess, and self-care collide in unexpected ways.
